Bicycle Casino Host Children's Christmas Party

21 December 2005

BELL GARDENS, California – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Bicycle Casino will continue its long-standing philanthropic tradition with it's annual Children's Christmas Party for over 1,700 underprivileged children from the surrounding community!

Probably one of its most elaborate and well-known charitable projects, the 21st annual Children's Christmas Party will be held on Thursday, December 22nd at The Bicycle Casino. The staff has worked tirelessly to put together a day of fun and enjoyment dedicated to the underprivileged children. Set in a carnival-type atmosphere, this year's event includes rides, games, an inflatable slide, horse drawn carriage, a DJ, clowns and petting zoo. All the children invited will have the opportunity to meet and take their photo with Santa Claus, along with being given a gift, goodies and a hosted lunch. This is a ticketed event limited to children who were qualified by the local Montebello school district. In addition, a limited number of tickets were given to the Rio Hondo Boys and Girls Club, Rancho Los Amigos Hospital, the Sonshine Youth Organization, the Lions Club, as well as the Bell Gardens Police Department and L.A. County Fire Station 39.

Managing Partner, Haig Kelegian, said, "This is an event we eagerly anticipate every year. The holidays are a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to our community. We are proud to be able to make a difference to those who are less fortunate and we hope that our efforts will allow these families to enjoy their holidays just a bit more!"

Also, this year, The Bicycle Casino has committed to support our Scholarship Program that benefits the Casino's employee's children who plan to continue their education in college and vocational school programs. Many applications for the scholarships were received by the November 15, 2005 deadline. Selection of the recipients was made entirely by Scholarship of America, a national nonprofit educational support and student aid service organization. This year's recipients, along with their parents, will be recognized during our Children's Christmas Party on the 22nd of December at 12pm at a special luncheon hosted by The Bicycle Casino owners and management. Winners will be receiving a $2,000 award.

The press is invited to come and share some real Christmas joy with the children and their parents.
