BIA Seeks Yuba Casino Plan Feedback

CALIFORNIA – As reported by the Marysville-Yuba City Appeal-Democrat: "The Bureau of Indian Affairs wants to know what issues to examine in the environmental impact statement for the proposed Enterprise Rancheria hotel-casino in Yuba County.

"The federal agency will hold a public scoping meeting next week in Marysville. It also is accepting written comments through June 20.

"…An environmental assessment for the project was released last year. County supervisors asked that the more extensive EIS be prepared.

"…Enterprise Rancheria, formally known as the Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe, has proposed a 207,760-square-foot gaming facility and a 107,125-square-foot hotel on a 40-acre parcel on Forty Mile Road…"
