Beulah Park, Scioto Downs consolidate simulcast wagering

OHIO -- As reported by the Business Journal: "Beulah Park and Scioto Downs are giving another go to a split schedule aimed at keeping the horse tracks afloat in the state's struggling racing industry.

"Beulah Park said that beginning Monday it will take on simulcast races previously shown only at Scioto Downs. The Grove City track also said it will remain open until May 3, when it plans to halt live and simulcast racing. Scioto Downs, in Columbus, is scheduled to open the following day with live and simulcast wagering in the evening and an additional slate of simulcast racing during the day.

"Scioto Downs is scheduled to close Oct. 13, after which Beulah Park plans to reopen and pick up live and simulcast wagering..."
