BetWWTS.com Announces World Idol Odds

ST. JOHN'S, Antigua – (Press Release)-- During the holidays millions of viewers from around the world will decide who's the world's greatest pop superstar when FOX debuts World Idol, a competition featuring the eleven champions from the first season of the Idol franchise. The first company in the world to accept wagers on American Idol, BetWWTS.com today announced odds on who will be voted the first World Idol champion.

A leading offshore gaming company for over 10 years, BetWWTS.com has listed individual odds for all eleven previous Idol winners competing for the "world title". Kelly Clarkson, winner of the first American Idol, has been installed as the early favorite to win the World crown at 5/4 odds (i.e., win $5 for every $4 bet). The UK's original Pop Idol Will Young appears to present the biggest challenge to Clarkson and BetWWTS.com lists him at 2/1 odds to be voted the world's favorite pop superstar. Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian and Canadian Idol champion Ryan Malcolm round out the favorites to win the World title at 4/1 and 10/1 odds, respectively.

"Immediately after FOX announced its intention to hold a World Idol competition, we began to receive requests from customers wanting to wager on which of the previous Idol winners would be voted as the world's favorite performer," said Simon Noble, CEO of BetWWTS.com. "Although measures have been instituted to eliminate any unfair advantage for contestants from more populated countries, both Clarkson and Young appear to have more mass appeal than any of the other performers and should garner the majority of the votes."

Of the remaining performers, BetWWTS.com lists Norway's Idol, Kurt Nilson (12/1), South African winner, Heinz Winckler (15/1), and German sensation, Alexander Klaws (15/1) with moderate chances of capturing the world title.

Meanwhile, Jamai Loman (20/1), Alicja Janosz (25/1), Peter Evrard (25/1) and Diana Karazon (30/1) open as the long shots to win the pop star challenge.

BetWWTS.com will be offering betting options on World Idol until the competition's finale on January 1st. All current odds are subject to change.
