Betting Agent Flees with Client's Money

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australia Daily Telegraph: "A betting agent is on the run today after fleeing with a client's $700,000 wager.

"Christopher Wood, from Sydney, is believed to be the commission agent, or 'bowler' who has disappeared with the client's cash.

"Racetrack rumour has it that Wood was betting on behalf of the owner of a well-known city brothel.

"…He is thought to have fled interstate or overseas.

"…Wood has a criminal record that includes charges of assault, stealing, and obtaining financial benefit by deception…"
