Bernard Lee to celebrate seventh anniversary of poker radio show

6 May 2014

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Professional poker player and media personality Bernard Lee will this month celebrate the seventh anniversary of The Bernard Lee Poker Show with special World Series of Poker (WSOP) interviews throughout the month. The anniversary shows are presented by poker apparel company RunGoodGear.com, whose team of professional players includes Lee.

The show airs from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays on RoundersRadio.com, one of the largest online poker talk radio stations in the world with listeners in more than 85 countries, and podcasts are available on RoundersRadio.com and iTunes. This month’s roster of guests will include WSOP Main Event champions who are themselves also celebrating a special anniversary this year:

• May 6: Phil Hellmuth will reflect on the 25th anniversary of his 1989 victory over Johhny Chan when he was 24 years old;
• May 13: Greg Raymer will remember the 10th anniversary of his 2004 WSOP win using his iconic fossils and sunglasses;
• May 20: Joe Cada will share recollections of the 5th anniversary of his 2009 victory that named him – at 21 – the youngest WSOP Main Event champion in history;
• May 27: Ryan Reiss, a former poker dealer and WSOP circuit grinder, will look back one year after his 2013 championship.

Lee, a Wayland resident, has won more than $2 million and now five titles on the tournament circuit since turning pro following his 13th finish in the 2005 WSOP main event.
One of the hardest working players in poker, he has won two tournaments in seven weeks. On May 1, Lee won his first WSOP Circuit gold in the $365 Turbo No-Limit Hold’em event at the Lodge Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado, securing a spot at this year’s WSOP National Championship in Atlantic City. On March 10, Lee won RunGoodGear.com’s inaugural main event at Downstream Casino Resort in Quapaw, Oklahoma, earning a seat at the 2014 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.
