Belterra Park Gaming's live racing season begins April 296 April 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Belterra Park Gaming & Entertainment Center announced it will begin the 2016 thoroughbred racing season Friday, April 29, with weekly races Thursday-Sunday until Oct. 8. Post times for races Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays are 1:30 p.m. while the post time for Friday races is 3 p.m. In addition to a special opening ceremony and first race, Belterra Park Gaming will also present the Lexington based, Old Friends Farm with a donation of $5,000 in support of retired thoroughbred horses and as a stall sponsor in a new barn at Old Friends Farm. The gift is also in response to a barn fire at Old Friends Farm in early 2016. "Live thoroughbred racing is an important part of our business and our history. We are proud to continue to offer exciting races, great prize structures, and a fun environment for all of our guests to enjoy the sport of horse racing," said Kevin Kaufman, Vice President & General Manager of Belterra Park Gaming. "We know this season will be enjoyable and we are delighted to welcome guests back to the track on April 29." |
