15 November 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Beau Rivage Resort & Casino has announced the promotion of Kimberly Pelaez to Vice President of Human Resources where she will be responsible for executing strategies and initiatives focusing on talent management, employee engagement and culture.

Biloxi-native Pelaez began her career at Beau Rivage in 1999 in Hotel Operations and has held numerous leadership roles in the Hotel division prior to joining the Human Resources team in 2014 as the Talent Acquisition & Employment Manager. She was later promoted to Human Resources Partner and in 2019 was named Director of Human Resources at Beau Rivage. Pelaez most recently held the role of MGM Regional Director of Talent Acquisition where she was responsible for developing talent strategies, goals and processes for eight regional MGM Resorts properties.

“My career with MGM Resorts International began as a job in college which grew into a career in which I have held 14 different positions over the last 23 years” said Pelaez. “I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the very best leaders in the industry and truly believe that MGM offers development and advancement opportunities like no other. MGM and Beau Rivage continually invest in their employees and in the communities in which they operate and I am proud to be a part of the team.”

In her new role, Pelaez will be responsible for partnering with the Human Resources Center of Excellence and Beau Rivage’s property leadership team to define, develop and execute Human Resource strategies and initiatives with a focus on talent management, organizational effectiveness, change management, employee engagement and culture.

Pelaez received a Bachelor of Arts in Casino Resort Management/Human Resources from Tulane University and is a SHRM Certified Professional, as well as a Mind Gym Certified Leadership Trainer.
