Beau Rivage celebrates 20 years20 February 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, MGM Resorts International’s crown jewel on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, will celebrate its 20th anniversary in March and the award-winning resort is celebrating all month long with a variety of outstanding entertainment, exciting casino promotions and fun activities for the family. “Beau Rivage is proud of the role it has played in the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s tourism development, economic growth and quality of life over the past 20 years, and we look forward to the next 20,” said Beau Rivage CFO Paul Heard, who has been with the company since its opening in March 1999. “As Biloxi’s largest private sector employer for 20 straight years, MGM Resorts is committed to the Mississippi Gulf Coast market and continues to focus on the guest experience and driving more visitors to the region.” 16 March Special Events and Activities St. Patrick’s weekend is going to one to remember as Beau Rivage observes its 20th anniversary on Saturday, 16 March with a full slate of free activities planned for the entire family. Start the day with the City of Biloxi’s annual Grillin’ on the Green, enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day parade through downtown Biloxi, and end the day watching Beau Rivage’s spectacular fireworks display from MGM Park. Starting at 5 p.m., families are invited to join the fun at MGM Park with bounce houses and other activities. At 6 p.m. one of the Gulf Coast’s favorite high-energy party bands Unfazed will take the stage. Biloxi Mayor “Fo Fo” Gillich and other dignitaries are scheduled to welcome guests and commemorate Beau Rivage’s historic 20 years on the Gulf Coast before the celebration’s finale, an extravagant fireworks show by the world-renowned Grucci Brothers. The Guinness World Record-holding, sixth-generation family-owned company, known as “America’s First Family of Fireworks,” will transform the night sky at 7:30 p.m. In addition to fireworks viewing and family activities at MGM Park, Beau Rivage invites guests to visit the resort on March 16 for complimentary live entertainment and cake in the hotel atrium from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Casino Promotions For those seeking high-energy gaming action, Beau Rivage will be featuring its Platinum Anniversary Giveaway all month with grand prize drawing days on 16 and 30 March. Entertainment Beau Rivage Theater Recognized as the premier entertainment venue in the Southeast, Beau Rivage has a slate of top headline entertainers scheduled to perform in the Beau Rivage Theatre throughout its 20th anniversary month. Multi-platinum selling, multiple Grammy Award winner Mariah Carey will take the Beau Rivage stage on 2 March as part of her upcoming Caution World Tour. Her 18 No. 1 hits are second only to The Beatles, and this tour promises to be her most intimate one yet. Beau Rivage’s show will be the third tour stop and Carey’s first visit to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Legendary R&B singer, producer and songwriter Keith Sweat known for producing songs for the likes of Men at Large, Dru Hill, Isley Brothers and The O’Jays will perform his own hits at Beau Rivage on March 8. Hit singles include “I Want Her,” “Make It Last Forever,” “Twisted” and “Nobody.” Sweat helped form his own R&B super group, LSG, with Gerald Levert and Johnny Gill which produced two albums and sold more than three million singles. Social media phenomenon and comedian Jessica “Jess Hilarious” is sure to keep audiences laughing when she performs at Beau Rivage on 15 March. She’s best known for her appearances on MTV’s “Wild n’ Out” and Russell Simmons’ “All Def Comedy.” For nearly 30 years Maze featuring Frankie Beverly has created a unique and powerful sound, which will be on full display at Beau Rivage on 22 March. Grandmasters of funk, R&B and soul, the group’s hits include “Happy Feelings,” “Lady of Magic,” “While I’m Alone,” “Can’t Get Over You, and “Silky Soul.” Iconic rock group Steve Miller Band will entertain audiences on March 23 with its songbook that spans more than 50 years. Miller’s brand of rock has dominated radio waves from the ‘70s through today with recognizable hits like “The Joker,” “Take the Money and Run” and “Rock’n Me.” On 29 March, come out for a night of exceptional stand-up comedy from actor and comedian Marlon Wayans. Selling out shows across the country as one of the top stand-up comics of the year, Wayans, who most recently starred in the NBC sitcom “Marlon,” and the Netflix film “Naked,” is the youngest member of comedy’s irrepressible Wayans family. Beau Rivage’s month-long birthday celebration ends with Montreal, Canada’s “Stand Up Comedian of the Year,” Sebastian Maniscalco. Dubbed “one of the hottest comics” by Newsday, Maniscalco will be taking the mic for two shows on March 30 for his “Stay Hungry” tour.
