Beau Rivage Casino hosting benefit concert & silent auction22 December 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- On Saturday, 11 January 2020, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino will host the second Hope From John Ellis, a benefit for One Wing Foundation, a non-profit that raises and distributes funds to organizations for medial, physical and grief recovery of bereaved parents who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. A southern comfort style buffet, silent auction and live music will take place in the Azalea Ballroom from 6 – 10 p.m. “This event has been designed to honor John Ellis’ purpose and life. On 6 January 2017, our son, John Ellis Naff was born into heaven at 35 weeks gestation, and our hope is to keep John Ellis' love alive and to bring stillbirth and Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy awareness to light,” said Elisabeth Naff, John Ellis’ mother. “At our first Hope From John Ellis event, we raised enough funds to donate a Cuddle Cot to University of South Alabama Women’s and Children’s Hospital in John Ellis' name, and we hope to do the same this year. We could not think of a better way to memorialize our baby than to provide a Cuddle Cot, because what better gift to a parent who has lost a baby than the gift of time.” Through events like Hope From John Ellis, the One Wing Foundation has provided $306,200 in assistance to 24 non-profit organizations and has funded nine Cuddle Cots for Labor & Deliver and NICU departments since 2016. Tickets are $45 for adults and $10 for children and includes a southern comfort style buffet, two drink tickets, silent auction and live music from All In. |
