'Be a man' on gambling debt, MLA urged

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia -- A Canadian MLA whose accused of using a disabled man's credit card for online gambling has been urged to "own up" by the man's mother, CBC News reported.

Independent MLA Trevor Zinck, who was removed from his caucus earlier this year for irregular constituency expenses, was once employed by the man as his caregiver, the CBC said.

Zinck had borrowed small amounts money from the man, but had no permission to use his credit card as is alleged, the CBC report said.

The man opened his bill to discover $10,000 gambled on an online poker site, $7,600 has allegedly not been paid back by Zinck, CBC said.
