BC Casino Job Fair Overwhelmed by Response

BRITISH COLUMBIA – As reported by the Langley Times: "As many as 1,500 people lined up Monday for a chance at one of the 600 full and part-time jobs being offered at the Cascades Casino/Coast Hotel and convention centre in Langley City.

"The two-day career fair on Monday and Tuesday saw people arrive as early as 6 a.m. to be first in line at the Hampton Inn on the Langley Bypass where the interviews were taking place. Cars were spilling out of the parking lot as were people, who waited inside and outside the hotel. Gateway Casinos admits they didn't expect that many people

"…All sorts of jobs are up for grabs from dishwashing and housekeeping for the hotel to casino dealers and security…"
