15 June 2009

Las Vegas Sun

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- WMS Gaming Inc. today said it secured rights to develop slot machines based on the Battleship and Clue board games.

The Waukegan, Ill., company already makes Monopoly-themed slots under a license from game maker Hasbro Inc.

WMS announced it extended through 2016 its license agreement with Hasbro for rights to the Monopoly brand and secured additional rights from Hasbro for other titles including Battleship and Clue.

Hasbro Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Media and Gaming Mark Blecher said in a statement: "We are pleased to expand and extend the scope of our relationship with WMS, a recognized innovation leader in the gaming industry. WMS has proved itself time and again with its very innovative Monopoly gaming program and we are confident that they will continue to do an outstanding job in creating strong entertainment value in their area of expertise with additional Hasbro brands."
