Bally’s Lake Tahoe Casino Resort’s Freaker’s Ball returns for 47th year11 September 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- Bally's Lake Tahoe Casino Resort will host its signature Halloween tradition, Freaker’s Ball, starting at 9 p.m. on Saturday, 31 October. Now in its 47th year, the annual celebration will take place in the Bally’s Showroom and feature a $15,000 costume contest, live entertainment, burlesque performances, DJs throughout the night and more. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their most creative, elaborate or unexpected Halloween costumes for the chance to compete for a share of the $15,000 prize pool. Judging will take place from 9 to 11 p.m. at the box office, with winners announced at midnight in the Bally’s Showroom. First place will receive $7,500 in cash, followed by $2,500 for second place, $1,500 for third place and $1,000 for fourth place. Fifth through 10th place winners will each receive $500 in free slot play. The evening’s entertainment lineup will include a performance by “clowntortionist” Scarlet Checkers, whose act combines contortionism, sword swallowing, sideshow stunts and interactive comedy; as well as burlesque performances by Reagan Riot. DJs will spin live music and continue the Halloween festivities into the early morning. For nearly five decades, Freaker’s Ball has been a Halloween tradition at Bally’s Lake Tahoe Casino Resort, bringing together elaborate costumes, live entertainment and a spirited costume competition for one of the resort’s signature nights of the year. Tickets, priced at $64.99, are on sale now and can be purchased online. Guests must be 21 or older to attend. |
