Bally Technologies Titanic video slot game sweeps awards at Macao Gaming Show

18 December 2013

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Titanic video slot from gaming technology innovator Bally Technologies, Inc. (BYI) (“Bally”) won awards in all four categories presented at the VIP Slot Room at the Macao Gaming Show last month.

The wins continued an impressive streak that has seen Bally win more than 80 awards for gaming innovation in the past four years.

Organizers at the Macao Gaming Show, held Nov. 14-16, invited players, casino slot directors and managers, and other industry insiders to a special VIP Slot Room to experience the latest games firsthand and provide feedback.

Visitors rated games from several manufacturers in four unique categories, with the highest scores winning awards. Titanic won in all four:

Best Game Theme
Best Graphics
Best Music and Audio
Best User Experience

Bally’s Titanic video slots deliver a fully interactive and cinematic experience centered on the iconic star-crossed lovers from James Cameron’s Titanic, one of the highest-grossing films in history. Featuring scenes from the film and music from the blockbuster phenomenon, Titanic integrates many of Bally’s proven play mechanics, mystery features, and a wide-area progressive top award.

The main attraction U-Spin Bonus Wheel, resembling a ship’s helm, awards credits as well as one guaranteed feature – Heart of the Ocean Free Games, Make It Count Free Games, Pick Up Feature, or The Safe Bonus. The game is also available as a near-area progressive.

“It is an absolute honor to be recognized by players and casino operators in the world’s largest gaming market,” said Derik Mooberry, Bally Technologies’ Senior Vice President of Games, Table Game Products, and Interactive Research & Development. “Titanic is one of Bally’s newest licensed, branded games and we believe players will be attracted to the impressive video content on the breathtaking Pro Series V22/32 cabinet, as well as numerous larger-than-life features. These kinds of awards show our continued commitment to creating world-class titles that appeal to players across the globe. We look forward to seeing Titanic on casino floors in early 2014.”

The accolades are the latest high-profile award wins for Bally games. In September, at the annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, the new Pro Series Wave cabinet shared first place for “Best Slot Product” at the 2014 Gaming & Technology Awards. In those awards, Bally also earned a number of other top honors for its content and cutting-edge technology.
