Bahamas Casino Workers Raise Money

BAHAMAS – As reported by the Freeport News: "Isle of Capri Casino at Our Lucaya employees have yet to forget how their counterparts in Biloxi, Mississippi and other States reached out and assisted them after Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne totalled the island's infrastructure last year.

"Now that the tables have turned, casino employees here held a car wash over the weekend at Our Lucaya's Lighthouse Point parking lot, raising funds to go towards assisting displaced Isle of Capri employees in the battered Gulf Coast State.

"…Subsequent to Hurricanes Frances' and Jeanne's adverse effects on the island last September, Robert Boone, corporate vice-president of Human Resources and Risk Management for Isle of Capri Casinos Incorporated, in November presented the casino with a cheque totalling more than $51,000. The funds were raised by Isle of Capri Casinos in the United States.

"…Grateful for what their U.S. partners did for them, Mr. Roberts said that the team has set out to raise a total of $10,000 through various fund-raisers…"
