Bahamas Casino Refurbishment Outlined

3 August 2005

BAHAMAS – As reported by the Bahama Journal: "In a recent meeting with casino associates, Vice President of casino operations, J. Duff Taylor, said a total refurbishment of the Wyndham Nassau Resort's C-Tower, which houses the casino, will begin in August, with a sample room to be completed by September 1.

"Upgrades will include a reconfigured floor layout and an allocation of over $4 million for 30 table games and 460 state-of-the-art slot machines to be installed over a period of three months. The additions will bring the casino's total slot count to 750.

"Mr. Taylor also pointed to a relocated and more visible Players Club, new High Definition televisions in the Sports Book, ceiling repairs and new carpeting throughout the casino as part of the renovation project.

"…A new poker room is also being prepared to accommodate the launch of daily live poker on September 1 – a development that would make the Crystal Palace Casino the first in The Bahamas to introduce the popular table game. Dealer training is currently underway…"
