Bad Beat jackpot won at Palm Beach Kennel Club

27 September 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Table 27 at the Palm Beach Kennel Club Poker Room was the place to be Tuesday afternoon, 26 September 2017. Nine excited players took a piece of the $128,971 Bad Beat jackpot, and the lucky "losing" poker hand paid to Leo Markarian was a whopping $64,486.

PBKC's rules state that if a player who has at least four 10s loses to a better hand, that loser gets half the Bad Beat jackpot. The winner of the hand gets 25%, and those sitting at the table split the remaining 25%. The "losing" hand received $64,486; the actual winning hand collected $32,243 and the other seven players took home $4,606 each.

Tiffany Leite dealt the hand in NL Texas Hold'em, a poker game where each player holds two cards of their own and share five community cards.
