Bad Beat Jackpot at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh reaches over $1.1 million

7 July 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Today is 7 July, or lucky 7/7 at 777 Casino Drive, where the Rivers Casino Pittsburgh Poker Room has a record-breaking $1.1 million Bad Beat Jackpot. It could hit at anytime, is it today?

Rivers’ Bad Beat Jackpot has been growing daily since it was last won more than a year ago on 14 April 2021. The minimum qualifying hand is four of a kind, 10s or higher.

A poker bad beat is when a rare high-ranking hand is beaten by an even higher-ranking hand, hence the losing hand triggers the bad beat jackpot and wins the lion’s share of the money. At Rivers, the losing hand earns 40% (currently ~$440,000) of the total amount, the highest-ranking hand wins 30% (currently ~$330,000) of the jackpot, and the remaining players at the table split the rest equally.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s previous bad beat jackpot record was just over $480,000 in 2017.
