Bad beat jackpot at Four Winds South Bend

31 December 2021

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi’s Four Winds Casinos are pleased to announce that five people split a Bad Beat Jackpot worth $432,342.58 by playing No Limit Hold’em on Monday, 20 December 2021 at Four Winds South Bend.

A W Club member from Granger, Indiana was dealt four 3s. He thought he had a winning hand but lost to a player with four 4s, which triggered Four Winds’ Bad Beat Jackpot worth $432,342.58. The W Club member won 50 percent of the jackpot, valued at $216,171.29 while the player with the winning hand from Mishawaka, Indiana won 25 percent of the jackpot, valued at $108,085.64. The remaining three players at the table from Mishawaka, South Bend, and Granger also split 25 percent of the jackpot for $36,028.55 each.

A Bad Beat Jackpot is paid when a sufficiently strong hand is played, but loses to an even stronger hand held by another player. Players with the two strongest hands receive the majority of the jackpot with the rest of the table receiving a portion.

Four Winds South Bend features 16 table games and 12 live poker tables including $1 - $2 No Limit Hold’em, $2 - $5 No Limit Hold’em, $3 - $6 Limit Hold’em, and $1 - $2 Pot Limit Omaha.
