B.C. Track Redevelopment Faces Hurdles

VERNON, British Columbia—As reported by Vernon Morning Star: "Plans to redevelop Kin Race Track appear to be in limbo.

"There's been no progress on the multi-million-dollar casino project since Winfield-based Probe Ventures pitched the concept to the Greater Vernon Services Commission in early May.

"Ash represents an investor who wants to convert the 48th Avenue site into a year-round racing facility, with a casino and commercial operations.

"However, the location is causing some problems.

"…According to Ash, a casino is essential if the project is to be financially viable and horse racing is to continue in Vernon…"
