B.C. casinos move away from cash transactions

24 August 2011

VICTORIA, B.C. -- In response to money laundering the B.C. government intends to move away from cash transactions at the Province's casinos, CBC News reported.

A document released indicated that the government aims to "transition the gaming industry away from its current state as a cash dependent industry", the report explained.

Payouts in the $5,000 -$10,000 range will be conducted by cheque, the CBC News report said.
