Australian MP Warns of Pokie Loophole15 August 2005AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australia Broadcasting Corporation: "No Pokies MP Nick Xenophon says a legal loophole is set to be exploited, allowing the number of South Australia's poker machines to be increased. "He says a business consortium is planning to establish a new gaming venue at Morphett Vale and lease it to a club under a proposed arrangement. "…Uniting Care Wesley says the existing law allows clubs to be exempted from the State Government's poker machine reduction measures and risks exacerbating the problem of gambling by outsourcing the management of clubs to hotels.
