Australian ex-tennis player pleads guilty to fixing match

25 January 2016

AUSTRALIA -- Following last week's scandal of alleged match-fixing in tennis, an ex-player has entered a guilty plea in a match-fixing court case today in Australia, The Guardian is reporting.

Nick Lindahl, who was a professional tennis player and a coach, entered his guilty plea over allegations he threw a minor tournament game in 2013, the report said.

It's alleged he deliberately lost a match at a tournament, however Sportsbet picked up on an unusually heavy betting pattern on the match and suspended bets, according to today's Guardian report.
