Australian Counselors Welcome Problem Gambler Ban

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation: "Counsellors have welcomed the Queensland Government's move to ban problem gamblers from venues for up to a year.

"State Parliament has passed changes to gambling laws to include uniform 'patron exclusion provisions' for venues and penalties for establishments that allow problem gamblers to enter.

"Gold Coast gambling counsellor the Reverend John Tully says tough action should be taken against venues which breach the new requirements…"
