Australian Casino Talks Stalled

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australia Examiner: "Around 800 casino employees will attend stopwork meetings this week after negotiations over pay with Federal Hotels reached an impasse.

"Country Club Resort workers will meet on Wednesday at 4:30pm and Wrest Point workers will meet at the same time on Thursday. Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union Tasmanian branch secretary David O'Byrne said that after 10 weeks of negotiations, workers were frustrated that an agreement had not been reached.
