Australian Casino Exposes Conspiracy

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australia Age: "Victoria Police and Crown Casino staff claim to have exposed an in-house conspiracy involving money laundering, with charges laid against five former croupiers and a gambler.

"Five of the six men appeared in court yesterday after lengthy inquiries culminated in claims that more than $189,000 in gaming chips had been stolen.

"It is alleged the croupiers, who were sacked in 2003, accepted cash from Alexus Benetton, 40, to pay out on or ignore losing bets…"
