Australia: Strike action possible at Crown this week

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Casino staff at Crown Casino may strike this week, The Australian reported.

A number of one-hour stoppages are planned for Friday and may continue into the weekend, the report said.

The dispute is over inadequate pay increases and other changes that will impact dealers financially, The Australian said.

The action is planned to impact the Spring Racing Carnival, which is very busy for the casino, the report noted.
