Australia responds to Pakistan betting scandal

1 September 2010

VICTORIA, Australia -- In the wake of this week's cricket betting scandal an Australian gaming minister Tony Robinson has ordered a review on whether bets should be accepted at all on Pakistan's cricket team, The Age reported.

Meanwhile the International Cricket Council has not ruled on any "decisive action", The Age report said.

Other Australian state and federal gaming ministers are expect to follow Robinson in reviewing whether betting on Pakistan matches is appropriate and fair given the allegations that have thrown cricket into crisis this week, The Age reported.
