Australia may change lottery ticket rules21 December 2006AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australia Herald Sun: "Scratch tickets could be sold at Victorian supermarkets under a Bracks Government plan to loosen Tattersall's $1.2 billion-a-year lotteries monopoly. "The Herald Sun believes Greek gambling consortium Intralot is set to be awarded a 10 per cent slice of the state's lottery market. "The company intends to expand the sale of scratchies into Coles and Safeway outlets. "In exchange, Intralot would be required to drop its plans for a legal challenge into the Government's alleged mishandling of the lottery licence tender process.
