Australia: Independent Senator calls for gambling law changes

AUSTRALIA -- An Independent Senator Nick Xenophon has joined Tasmanian Independent MP Andrew Wilkie and is calling on the Australian government to crack down on pokie addiction, according to Sky News.

Nick Xenophon want to government to instigate changes to gaming law, the report explained.

He has filed a compliant over pro-gambling industry advertising that refers to the proposed pokie reform as "un-Australian", Sky News said.
