Australia: Greens say gambling addiction is a public health issue

AUSTRALIA -- The Green Party are suggesting the medication Naltrexone could be used to help gambling addicts overcome or control their addictions, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

The Greens are calling for gambling addiction to be treated as a "public health issue", the report said.

Another part of the Greens platform is the introduction of $1 maximum bet on pokies, according to the Sydney Morning Herald report.
