Australia: Gambler fails in bid to recover money21 May 2012MELBOURNE, Australia -- Harry Kakavas, a property developer, has lost his case against the Crown Casino, according to Sky News. Kakavas lost $20 million gambling over 14 months and accused the casino of exploiting his gambling addiction and luring him with transport and gifts, the report explained. The court found in favor of the casino and ruled that the Crown did not take advantage of him and that Kakavas had been able to negotiate terms with the casino which demonstrated his decisions were informed, Sky News reported. |
