Australia casino denies luring gambling addict

MELBOURNE, Australia -- As reported by ABC News: "Melbourne's Crown Casino has denied it enticed a gambling addict to lose millions of dollars.

"Gold Coast property developer Harry Kakavas is suing the casino for more than $20 million after a loosing streak in 2005 and 2006.

"It is alleged the casino schemed to ensure the gambling addict came back, offering him cash incentives and giving him the use of a private jet.

"Lawyers for the casino have told the Victorian Supreme Court, the gambler was banned from the complex in 1998 for unruly behaviour, but he continued to threaten the casino with legal action if they did not allow him to return.

"The court heard it was the property developer and not the casino who instigated the process of lifting the ban and he initially requested but was denied the use of a jet..."
