Atlantis, Cantor announce grand opening of new race and sportsbook3 October 2013(PRESS RELEASE) -- Atlantis at Paradise Island Resort and Casino and Cantor Gaming announced Thursday the grand opening of a brand new, 6,860 square foot state-of-the-art race and sports book at Atlantis. The new race and sports book at Atlantis offers patrons a stylish and sophisticated sports wagering environment, equipped with the latest in technological advancements, including Cantor Gaming’s proprietary wireless gaming system. Highlights include a 4 mm high definition indoor LED video wall, measuring 67 feet by 7.5 feet, capable of showing up to 20 independent high definition race and sporting events simultaneously. This defining feature can be enjoyed from any of the 44 personal wagering stations, six VIP betting stations, eight personal betting lounge stations and eight bar gaming slots. "We are excited to launch this new race and sports book and usher in a new level of innovative entertainment within a stunning setting that I am confident our guests will enjoy," said George Markantonis, president and managing director of Atlantis. "This state-of-the-art space is in addition to our newly renovated Atlantis casino floor and enhances our resort as a luxury destination, while providing a unique environment for race and sports wagering enthusiasts." Cantor Gaming's luxurious signature style can be seen across the race and sports book, and includes metallic gray betting carrels, black granite-topped cocktail tables, ebony wood veneer detailing, and a red stria carpet. Cantor Gaming has licensed its sophisticated mobile gaming and its race book and sports pool systems to Atlantis. In addition, it is providing risk management consulting services. Atlantis patrons will also be able to wager using Cantor Gaming's mobile sports wagering application on their Apple or Android device, or on their wireless enabled personal computing devices, including tablets and smart phones, with Cantor Gaming's Wi-Fi enabled sports wagering solution.
