Atlantic City's outstanding dining outlet is not your mamma's Mia

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- At Caesars Atlantic City all roads lead to Mia, especially since the premier restaurant is set to unveil several new offerings. With an all-new menu evoking the proud traditions and tastes of the country shaped like a boot, as well as a modern lunch spectacular and sit-down beer dinner, guests will surely not want to ever say “Ciao.”

“Mia has built a reputation off chef-driven quality,” said Don Marrandino, Eastern Division President for Caesars Entertainment. “Caesars is fortunate to be able to showcase chefs as talented and passionate as George Perrier and Chris Scarduzio, and Mia’s new culinary offerings make it an ideal setting to experience authentic Italian fare for both lunch and dinner.”

On June 21 Mia delivers its next event in the beer-tasting series with the History of Yards Brewing Dinner. Beginning at 7pm, guests will receive a six-course beer dinner featuring six Yards brewing beers, which will be paired with food items that have an added Mia twist. For $90, which includes tax and gratuity, guests will sample the finest Yards beers around, including Brawler, IPA, ESA, Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale, Poor Richards Tavern Spruce Ale and George Washington Tavern Porter, all in firkinstyle casks. These outstanding beers will be paired with exotic dishes like Malard Duck Sausage with Sweet and Sour Cabbage; Turtle Brawler Soup; IPA Salted Cod Cakes; and more. Mia’s next beer-tasting series will include beers provided by Weyerbacher Brewing Company on September 13, 2012.

For those looking to taste a little bit of Italy midday, Mia presents its Power Lunch. Debuting June 22, this cuisine-de-force will have patrons in, out and full in under 40 minutes. Menu highlights include: Caprese Salad – Heirloom tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, roasted peppers, basil and a balsamic glaze ($12); Short Rib Fries – French fries topped with Chianti braised pulled short ribs ($6); Maryland Crab Cake Burger – House-made coleslaw, pickled red onions, tartar sauce and lettuce, tomato, and pickle ($14); Roasted Veggie Panini – Zucchini, cured tomatoes, Portobello mushrooms, fresh mozzarella cheese and basil pesto ($11); Parma Prosciutto Pizza – Roma tomatoes, Fontina cheese, thinly sliced prosciutto, wild arugula and roasted garlic ($15); and many more savory dishes. Creative cocktails also reign supreme with Mia’s Power lunch menu and include such libational treats as the Red-I-tini – Grey Goose vodka, Red Bull Energy Drink, Chambord Black Raspberry liqueur, pomegranate juice and a splash of pineapple juice ($14) and the Mia-tini – Absolut Citron vodka, Limoncello, triple sec and sour mix with a sugar rim juice ($14). Mia is open for lunch every Wednesday through Sunday, from 11:30am to 3pm.

As the season shifts to the summer, so to does the dinner menu at Mia. This after 5:30pm offering also begins on June 22 and will concentrate on some authentic Italian favorites and embrace the freshness of the Mediterranean. Appetizers include: Polenta Rustica – Garnished with Sweet Italian Sausage, Spinach, Parmesan Cheese, Sweet Garlic Jus ($18); Robioli Cheese and Artichoke Arincini –Savory Tomato Compote, Micro Arugula ($18); and Antipasto Misto – Chefs Daily Selection of Cured Italian Meats, Grilled and Marinated Vegetables, Olives and Cheese. Pastas include: Home made Jumbo Lobster Ravioli – Sweet English Peas, Crispy Leeks, Lobster Butter Sauce ($31); and Imported Spaghetti – Grandma Carmella’s Meatballs, Crushed San Marzano Gravy ($27). Entrees include: Prosciutto Wrapped Veal Tenderloin – Creamy Lobster and Leek Orzo Pasta, Grilled Asparagus, Porcini Mushroom and White Wine Sauce ($48); Line Caught Jersey Fluke – Herb Battered Fluke, Favetta and Radishes, Capers, Celery Vinaigrette ($38); Grilled 14 oz. Dry Aged Rib–Eye Steak – Spinach Parmesan Risotto, Charred Green Onions, Garlic Confit, Estate Bottled Olive Oil ($53); and many more Italian classics. Additionally, the restaurant will offer wines and champagnes by the glasses, including: Cakebread Napa Chardonnay ($25); Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc ($13); and Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon ($25). Mia is open for dinner every Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30pm till 10pm with extended dining service hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30pm till 11pm.
