Atlantic City Resorts Bring in Big Names for Summer Shows12 July 2004ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- -- As reported by the Daily Times: "All of the Atlantic City resorts are offering big-name entertainment this summer to continue to lure travelers to its gaming mecca. Here are some of the highlights "- Resorts summer entertainment schedule includes the Tony Pace Show now through September. Upcoming headliners are Chris Isaak, this weekend; Smokey Robinson, July 24-25; Bobby Vinton, Aug. 6-8; and Jerry Seinfeld, Sept. 4. "- At Trump Plaza, the Broadway musical "Footloose" runs through Aug. 22. Joan Rivers and Don Rickles will be on the same bill July 17, with Rivers in the opening spot. July 31's headliner is Loretta Lynn. "- The Trump Taj Mahal will present Dave Koz & Friends on July 16, Kiss/Poison on July 17 and "Disco Mania" on July 30-31 with KC & The Sunshine Band, the Village People and Evelyn King. "- The Trump Marina will feature Steel Pulse will perform on July 16, The B-52s on July 24 and Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo on July 25. Bond will be on stage on Aug. 14 and Robert Cray Band & Buddy Guy will appear on Aug. 28. "- At the Hilton Casino Resort, "ABBA: The Music," a tribute band, will be on stage this weekend. BTO is set for July 23-24. In August, Cyndi Lauper stars on the 13th and 15th. Dick Fox's Golden Boys: Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell will perform Aug. 27-29. The perennial favorite The Fifth Dimension will be on stage Aug. 30 to Sept. 3. "- The Borgata Hotel Casino Resort will present Bill Mahr on today. Boston is on the bill July 18, followed by Rick Springfield on July 23, Crosby, Stills & Nash on July 13; Paul Anka, July 13-15; and the Allman Brothers Band, Sept. 4. "- Harrah's will feature The Chippendales, today;Wayne Newtown, July 23-24; Michael Bolton, July 30-31; and Johnny Mathis, Aug. 6-7. Atlantic City favorite Clint Holmes will perform Aug. 27-28. "- The Tropicana Casino and Resort presents comedian David Brenner will perform along with Dom Irrera on July 16-17. The Spinners and Harold Melvin's Blue Notes will perform July 31 and on Aug. 14-15 it will be "Summer Doo-Wop" with The Drifters, Del Vikings, the Classics, Kenny Vance & The Planetones. "- At Caesar's Hotel Casino, comic George Carlin headlines through Sunday, followed by Colin Mochrie, Brad Sherwood and Greg Proops on July 16-17. Chicago will be on the bill July 22-25 and the magic of David Copperfield will be spotlighted Aug. 5-8. Lewis Black will perform Aug. 13-14 and it will be Huey Lewis & The News Aug. 27-29.
