Atlantic City Launches Pennsylvania Ad Blitz30 September 2004ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "The Convention and Visitors Authority cranked up its media presence in the Keystone State on Tuesday, announcing a $500,000 advertising blitz in eastern Pennsylvania. "The authority's slogan, 'Atlantic City - Always Turned On,' will hit the state this week with television, radio and print ads appearing in markets north to Allentown and west to Harrisburg. "'This is a market that is going to have gaming soon, so we want to establish ourselves as the destination with more to do than play slots,' said Jeffrey Vasser, the authority's executive director. "…Pennsylvania lawmakers in July legalized limited gambling. The first slot parlors are expected to open within a few years. "…The city will also be sponsoring 1,986 traffic updates on 39 radio stations in those same areas. Thirty advertising inserts in The Philadelphia Inquirer are also planned…" |
