Atlantic City Gamblers: Trump Needs to be Updated

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the New York Daily: "The Donald once ruled this casino-filled seaside town, but the odds are starting to mount against the gambling houses that Trump built.

"The man who boasted of mastering the art of the deal and keeping up with the state of the art, has not kept up with the times when it comes to the gambling business, casino-goers said yesterday.

"…Stamped with the swaggering developer's brand, the Trump Taj Mahal, the Trump Plaza and the Trump Marina are struggling against sleeker, newer competitors among the collection of casinos here.

"Trump conquered Atlantic City more than 20 years ago, but with flashy casinos sprouting up on Indian reservations, along the Boardwalk and across town, gambling has become a dicey proposition for The Donald.

"…While The Borgata has an outpost of The Old Homestead, a famed New York steakhouse, the Trump Marina has a Hooters and a Taco Bell.

"…Even longtime fans of The Donald's casinos said his places could use makeovers while shedding familiar Trump touches that include multitiered chandeliers and gold-mirrored walls…"
