The city largely escaped any physical damage, but the financial repercussions have been the hardest to recover from, the report said. Due to the shutdown nine conventions were lost, translating to the loss of $31 million in spending, NY1 reported. Now the city intends to offer discounts to encourage groups to book their conventions, the report made note. |
