Atlantic City continues to struggle with Sandy's financial dent

26 November 2012

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Atlantic City is struggling to recover from its five day shutdown during Hurricane Sandy, according to NY1.

The city largely escaped any physical damage, but the financial repercussions have been the hardest to recover from, the report said.

Due to the shutdown nine conventions were lost, translating to the loss of $31 million in
spending, NY1 reported.

Now the city intends to offer discounts to encourage groups to book their conventions, the report made note.
