Atlantic City casinos report slight revenue increase in August11 September 2008ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- As reported by the Star-Ledger: "After months of disappointing results, the Atlantic City casinos reported a slight increase in recent gambling revenue, according to the Casino Control Commission. "In all, casino revenue grew .7 percent in August, to $468.3 million. Five of the 11 casinos reported increases, with Harrah's again leading the charge with a 19.1 percent rise in revenue. Borgata also fared well, with revenue climbing 10.3 percent. Both were helped by new hotel additions that opened earlier this year..." |
