Atlantic City: 1400 jobs hit in seasonal slowdown

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- 1400 jobs were cut by Atlantic City casinos in September, The Press of Atlantic City reported.

Figures released yesterday showed that an additional 300 workers lost their jobs over 2009 numbers, the report said.

Usually some seasonal jobs are cut, but the economy and competition are factors in these additional job losses, The Press of Atlantic City report noted.
