Aristocrat Reports 200th Oasis Customer

4 May 2005

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Continuing to expand its industry-leading OASIS(TM) Casino Management System customer base, global systems leader Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. announced its 200th OASIS customer, Cashell Enterprises, owners and operators of the Topaz Lodge and the Alamo Travel Center in northern Nevada.

For Robert A. Cashell Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of Reno-based Cashell Enterprises, the choice of OASIS was simple.

"Aristocrat's service was driving our systems decision," said Cashell about his management team's choice to replace their seven-year old system from another manufacturer with Aristocrat's OASIS. "We're a small, family company and we didn't want to make a major capital expenditure like this and then have to live with a bad decision. In the end, it all boiled down to service, support, and relationships."

"The fact that Aristocrat now has over 200 OASIS customers is testament to the fact that they provide more than a system, more than technology; they are long-standing partners with customers and live and breath service and support every day," Cashell said. "We're honored to be the 200th OASIS customer."

"We couldn't be more thrilled that Cashell Enterprises is the 200th customer on OASIS," said Gavin Isaacs, President of Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. "We've grown our OASIS customer base through strong technology offerings but most of all by providing high levels of service and support long after the contract is signed and the system is deployed. We recognize that choosing a system provider is more like choosing a partner than a vendor, and we look forward to a long partnership with Cashell."

Cashell said that in his first discussions with Aristocrat he had the immediate, real sense about the Company's commitment to customer service. "It's one thing to talk about service, but I felt that Aristocrat's service really was the differentiating factor."

But Cashell, a savvy businessman with a degree in business communications from Pepperdine University and post-graduate education in law and business management, didn't take Aristocrat's word for it. "I talked to other OASIS customers and they said exactly what the Aristocrat team was saying, affirming that what I was hearing was accurate."

While service and support were the key drivers of Cashell's decision to choose OASIS, Aristocrat's technology was another important factor.

The Cashell team is moving towards converting all of its gaming machines at the Topaz Lodge into cashless units, installing Aristocrat's Quickets(TM) ticket-in/ticket-out technology for cashless wagering. They will implement new marketing and promotions programs at the Topaz Lodge, which attracts tourists and recreation enthusiasts to its location an hour-and-a-half from Reno overlooking beautiful Topaz Lake.

"It's a unique environment that draws people seasonally who, for example, like to ski in the winter and fish in the summer," said Rick Ross, Vice President and General Manager of the Topaz Lodge. "We're really looking forward to using OASIS promotions and marketing tools to start a tiered-based players club to drive repeat visits year-round."

At the Alamo Travel Center, where over 90 percent of the customers are over-the-road truck drivers, Cashell Enterprises will use OASIS to collect player data, define player interests, and offer an enhanced experience to their customers.

"Both of our properties cater to two almost entirely different customer bases with unique expectations," Cashell said. "With OASIS we will have a whole new set of tools at our disposal that will help us identify and target our players. OASIS Promotions technology will help us evolve our marketing and promotions programs as we find out who is in our casinos, why they are there, and what they want. This is a big change for us and a very exciting one for our players."

Aristocrat Technologies recently completed the OASIS installation at the Topaz Lodge and will finish the Alamo Travel Center installation in early May.
