Aristocrat announces 'Westworld' slot machine

27 September 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Aristocrat, casino gaming industry leader, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will premiere the Westworld slot machine based on HBO's hit TV show "Westworld" this October at Global Gaming Expo 2017 (G2E) in Las Vegas.

"We are thrilled to present our customers with the excitement of the Westworld Slot Game," said Siobhan Lane, Aristocrat Senior Vice President, Marketing & Gaming Operations North America. "At Aristocrat, our absolute number one priority with every game we create is to help our customers provide their players with an entertaining experience. We aggressively pursue the very best and most influential licenses to achieve that mission, and 'Westworld' is a very exciting addition."

HBO's one-hour drama series "Westworld" is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.

The series recently earned a phenomenal 22 Emmy nominations (tied for the most of any program), including Outstanding Drama Series. With an average gross audience of 13 million viewers, "Westworld" ranks as the most-watched freshman season among all original series on HBO.

Inspired by the motion picture "Westworld," written and directed by Michael Crichton, the new series is produced by Kilter Films, Bad Robot Productions and Jerry Weintraub Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and created for television by executive producers Jonathan Nolan ("The Dark Knight," "Interstellar") and Lisa Joy ("Pushing Daisies"). In addition, executive producers for the drama's first season include J.J. Abrams ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens," "Lost," "Fringe," "Person of Interest"), Jerry Weintraub ("Ocean's Eleven" films) and Bryan Burk ("Star Trek" films). The series returns for its second season in 2018.

The Westworld Slot Game will take players on a thrilling journey through the series, which features fan-favorite characters, attractive imagery, high-definition footage of the most memorable scenes and the show's distinctive music.

Westworld Slot Game will debut on Aristocrat's new and sleek flame55 cabinet. Every aspect of flame55 is designed to provide a superior gaming experience, including a unique single-screen double-curved 55" 4K monitor, stereo "symphonic" audio, virtual button deck and advanced ergonomics.

Aristocrat's portfolio includes several other Warner Bros. Consumer Products licensed titles such as the Batman Classic TV Series Slot Game, The Big Bang Theory Slot Game, Dumb & Dumber Slot Game, A Christmas Story Slot Game and many others.
