Argosy Expansion Plans Grow

LAWRENCEBURG, Indiana – As reported by the Palladium Item: "Expansion plans for the Argosy Casino are growing, with Penn National Gaming Inc. increasing the budget for a much larger floating casino, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

"The estimated cost of the new two-story, 250,000-square-foot barge is $310 million, a $44 million increase, according to the company's quarterly financial report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week. Penn National of Reading, Pa., acquired Argosy last year.

"The planned opening of the all-new facility has been pushed back from the second quarter of 2008 to the fourth quarter of that year…"
