Arapahoe Park Expands Schedule

COLORADO – As reported by the Denver Business Journal: "The Arapahoe Park horse-racing track's new owner has added more race dates to it 2006 calendar.

"The track, located in the eastern Denver-area city of Aurora, has increased its schedule by two live race dates to a total of 39.

"In July, BLB Investors LLC of Connecticut acquired the holdings of Wembley USA Inc., the Aurora-based, American arm of Britain's Wembley Plc. Arapahoe Park was part of that deal along with four other Colorado tracks -- Mile High Greyhound Park, Havana Park, Post Time Greyhound Park and Pueblo Greyhound Park.

"The addition of race dates next year still must be approved by the Colorado Division of Racing Events, but the Colorado Horse-Racing Association backs the increase, according to BLB…"
