Another Casino Boat Arrives in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Georgia – As reported by the WTOC: "Is Savannah big enough for two casino boats? A Myrtle Beach businessman, Al Shuman, is taking a gamble. Next month, the Diamond Girl will set sail.

"Shuman says the boat will have nothing to do with the Millionaire's Casino. He says it's totally different people involved and their goal will be to give the Millionaire's Casino a run for its money.

"It's a venture others have tried and failed. The Millionaire's Casino boat last sailed in December and has struggled to get back in the water ever since.

"…Before the casino boat wars get started, the tiki hut at Williams Seafood will get transformed. It will be repaired, remodeled and refurbished. Hiring is already underway, and next up is a huge marketing blitz.

"…The Diamond Girl is a 150-foot-by-40-foot cruise liner which is undergoing inspections and maintenance at Global Shipping Systems in Savannah. While the boat gets fine-tuned, Shuman says location is the key to financial success…"
