Angel of the Winds Casino to open first phase of Xpansion12 August 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Angel of the Winds Casino Hotel Brewery announced today that it will be opening several venues in the first half of August as part of the property’s 2019 Xpansion project. The new features will include a parking garage, an Xpanded gaming floor, Strikerz Bowling, Rivers Run Event Center, All Things Sports and Gateway Bar. The Xpanded gaming floor and Gateway Bar open today, and the parking garage will be accessible to guests very soon. Strikerz Bowling, All Things Sports, and Rivers Run Event Center are slated to debut in mid-August. “We receive great feedback on guest service,” Assistant General Manager, Jeff Wheatley said. “That’s something that is a hallmark of Angel of the Winds Casino Resort. We’re very engaged with our guests and try to improve in every area that they suggest, so a lot of this planning has really come out of that. By incorporating that feedback as much as possible, we can deliver to their Xpectations.” The parking garage will have 575 spots and give guests the convenience of parking in a facility with direct access to the Xpanded gaming floor, where guests will enjoy more of the latest and greatest slot machines and table games. Along with additional gaming, guests can Xperience a new level of entertainment with Strikerz Bowling. The newest alley in the area in 30 years, the 16-lane bowling complex will feature all-ages bowling for families and four lanes that can be reserved for corporate and private events. In addition, Strikerz Bowling will offer several bowling leagues, including the 50+ League on Mondays, Ladies Night Out Wine League on Tuesdays, and Strikerz Mixed League on Wednesdays. “We are thrilled to offer the HyperBowling feature for our guests,” Assistant General Manager, Jeff Wheatley said. “The HyperBowling component allows you to bring up the gutters and play games that both kids and adults alike can enjoy. It’s like Topgolf for bowling, so we’re really Xcited about this optional twist to the standard bowling Xperience." Across from Strikerz Bowling is Rivers Run Event Center. The event center’s 8,800-square-foot space can be divided into three sections and will boast the latest and greatest technology, making it the perfect venue for holiday gatherings, employee functions, conferences and more. John Michael Montgomery will perform the first show in Rivers Run Event Center on Friday, 30 August, and Restless Heart will follow with a concert there on Saturday, 7 September. For guests who want to practice their athletic skills or enjoy a friendly competition, All Things Sports will have them covered with virtual sports bays that utilize the same industry-leading technology used by the world’s best players and include both golf and multi-sport packages. For golf, guests will have the opportunity to tee off and play a round at many premier courses, including Pebble Beach Golf Links, Torrey Pines Golf Course, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Troon North Golf Club, and more. The multi-sport package will offer challenges in all kinds of sports, from popular pastimes like baseball and football to niche games like bocce, lacrosse, and even zombie dodgeball. Rounding out the first phase of venue openings is Gateway Bar, which gets its name from how it will be located at the gateway from the casino floor to the entertainment block that contains Strikerz Bowling and Rivers Run Event Center. The bar will give guests a place to kick back with the perfect cocktail and socialize with their friends while they pause between bowling frames. “Getting to see it come to fruition is very rewarding,” Assistant General Manager, Jeff Wheatley said. “Our vision came through, and we couldn’t be happier with the end product.” These new amenities will mark the completion of the first phase of Xpansion openings. The next venues to open will be Gravity Bar, a sleek social space that will be located in the center of the gaming action, and Riverside Buffet, a dedicated buffet that will feature rotating themes nightly. Jade Fusion, a culinary destination that will offer a wide variety of Southeast Asian cuisine, is scheduled to be unveiled in September. And coming in October, Whiskey Prime Steakhouse will provide guests with a menu complete with prime cuts, steaks, chops, seafood, local barrel-aged whiskey and more. |
