'America's Got Talent' star Taylor Williamson to perform at Kansas Star Casino on April 287 March 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Stand-up comedian Taylor Williamson of "America's Got Talent" will bring the laughs to Kansas Star Casino Event Center April 28. Following a successful preliminary audition for "America's Got Talent" in Los Angeles, Williamson was unanimously selected to advance to the Las Vegas round by the show's four judges during the show's eighth season. A favorite of Howie Mandel and Howard Stern, Williamson successfully advanced through each round and relied on a save by the judges' choice in the quarterfinals. His strong performances got him all the way to the season finale, where he took the runner-up spot. During the show's 10th anniversary special, judge Heidi Klum named Williamson her all-time favorite act. Williamson's performance trademarks include a dry, awkward stage persona and self-deprecating humor. He has credited comics like Zach Galifianakis, Greg Giraldo, and Jim Gaffigan as some of his early influences. His notable appearances have included the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Live at Gotham, Total Request Live, and the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," where he was the youngest comic to appear on the show. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. in the Kansas Star Event Center Ballroom, with tickets on sale March 5, starting at $23. |
