Americas Cardroom launches satellite schedule for $1 Million Guaranteed Tournament24 July 2014SAN JOSE, Costa Rica -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- As if a $1 million guaranteed poker tournament for U.S. players weren't newsworthy enough, Americas Cardroom is making even more noise by announcing that players can get into the tournament for free. The online poker site today released its satellite schedule for Winning Millions, a $1 million poker tournament set to get underway on December 14th. The satellite schedule includes two freerolls per day. "We've received tons of great feedback from players that are looking forward to playing in the first $1 Million tournament to hit U.S. shores in over three years," stated Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom. "Our goal was to bring poker back in a major way and it's fantastic to see that players are just as thrilled about the return of poker to the U.S. Today, we're excited to launch a satellite schedule that's designed to push more players into the event for a lot less than you'd expect." Winning Millions is a Texas Hold'em tournament featuring a $1 million guaranteed prize pool, set to begin on December 14th, 2014. Poker players can buy directly in for $500+$40 or win their spot through a satellite. The Winning Millions Satellite Schedule includes a number of daily events that feed into a nightly $100+$9 satellite. The 8:30pm tournament pays out at least one seat to the $1 million tournament. Poker players can also win their spot in the $109 nightly event through $7 and $22 satellites running daily. The $22 turbo satellite has $0.55 feeders that run three times per day. Players can also earn seats into the $7 satellites through freerolls running at 10:00am and 1:30pm ET. With a structure like this a player can ultimately win a $540 seat with a $0 investment and potentially a $200,000 first place prize. While Winning Millions features a $1 million guaranteed prize pool with $200,000 going to the first-place winner, that number is expected to grow by leaps and bounds. Since announcing the tournament just a few short weeks ago, Americas Cardroom has seen its daily traffic increase significantly. The online poker site has seen zero overlays, a signal that tournament traffic at Americas Cardroom is returning to the pre-Black Friday numbers rather quickly. |
